THE web design PROCESS
Here’s how it all goes down!

1. Fill Out the Inquiry Form
First you’ll fill out a short booking inquiry form, which ask you some questions that will give me a sense of what your needs are.

2. Book a Free Consultation Call
Right after you submit the inquiry form, you’ll be able to schedule a free, half-hour consultation call with me in which we’ll talk about your website needs and see if we’re a good fit!

3. Schedule Your Design Period
If we are a good fit, we’ll schedule our design period! A non-refundable 50% deposit will be due, which will secure your spot on my calendar. I’ll then send you your Welcome Package and you’ll have everything you need to feel ready to get started!

4. Prepare Your Content
In the time leading up to our design period, you’ll prepare your content and have it ready by the Friday before our design period begins. This includes creating a Pinterest board (for Custom Website package), filling out a questionnaire I’ve prepared, and gathering your site photos and written content.

5. Website Creation Begins
After a kickoff call in which we talk about your content, website goals, and desired style, I’ll start building your Squarespace site. You can relax while I make all the web design magic happen!

6. Revisions
After I’ve designed your site, I will present it to you as a first draft. From here, you will provide your desired revisions and I will make the changes you want to see. If you choose the Custom Website package, you’ll get a total of 3 rounds of revisions. If you choose a VIP Design Day, you’ll get 1 round of revisions.

7. Live Squarespace Tutorial
At the end of our design period, we’ll hop on a Zoom call, where I will give you a live tutorial that will teach you the basics of Squarespace. This way, you’ll know how to make changes to your site after we’ve finished working together!

8. Launch!
At the end our design period, we’ll launch your awesome new website so you can start showing it off to the world! Yay!
Note: the broad process outline above basically applies to both the VIP Design Day and Custom Website packages. The only substantial difference is the VIP Design Day takes place in 1 day, while the Custom Website happens over the course of 2 weeks. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have in our free consultation call!

It depends on the package you choose! The Custom Website Design package takes place over the course of 2 weeks, while the VIP Design Day takes place in 1 day.
With both packages, there are a few things I’ll need from you leading up to our design project, including written content, photos, a Pinterest board, and a questionnaire I will ask you to fill out.
Providing me with these before the project begins is important for staying on schedule and making sure our time together can be spent fully focused on the design process!

If you were to book today, you would pay a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your spot in my calendar. The remaining 50% will be due at the end of our design process before we launch your site.

After you fill out the booking inquiry form and schedule a free half-hour consultation call with me, the next step is for us to chat on that call via Zoom to see if we’re a good fit. If we both decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your design period and you’ll get all the information you need in order to prepare! I’ll be very proactive and communicative in terms of guiding you through this whole process in a way that’s clear and efficient.

Squarespace is the website builder I use. In order to work with me, you will need to sign up for Squarespace and use it as your website platform, if you aren’t already. The good news: Squarespace is amazing and easier to use than most other platforms!

Squarespace is a drag-and-drop website builder, and I would recommend it to ANYONE who wants a simplified yet robust approach to creating a website. It’s easier to use than most website platforms, it allows you to create a beautiful and completely customized site, and it gives you everything you need in terms of site styling and functionality. Also, if you have any questions as you use Squarespace, their customer support, user guides, and community forums pretty much answer any question you could possibly have!

If you want full functionality and customization, I recommend signing up for the Squarespace Business Plan, which is $23 per month if you pay annually, or $33 per month if you pay on a month-by-month basis.
The Personal Plan is more limited on what you can customize, but can be a good option for simpler websites. The Personal Plan is $16 per month if you pay annually, or $23 per month if you pay on a month-by-month basis.
